The car is getting pretty close, I am hoping to spray it this saturday. Have a few spots to prime and still need to clean up the rockers a bit. We found a color and I have started spraying it, today I sprayed the bumpers, grille, mirrors, handles and air dam. The color is a custom formula. Since the jambs are still a solid white we decided to use the same basecoat on the outside but to apply a pearl over it. So we used the normal paint code "WA9753" and used the midcoat from the Cadillac line "WA391L" to make this color. We only used 2 coats of the mid coat, and use the normal white until full hiding is acheived (about 3 coats). We are also using a white sealer from glasurit.

Here is what it looks like after 1 coat of sealer and the regular white has been sprayed until covered:

Here is the midcoat, you can see its very transparent. There is a lot of violet mica in this and clear binder that is sprayed to sit on top of the white. This color shifts a lot as you move around it.

Here is with the mid coat applied:

Here are a few pics of the final result after clearcoat:

I have a video of this spray job that will be processed tommorow. I will post it when its ready.
