Corsica Complete Day 3
We are definately getting a bit more carried away with this job then originally thought. When I said were not getting too fussy with this please consider that as we will be treating this like it\'s going to the Barrett Auction. So I now have 2 1/2 solid days into this car and have quite a bit of progress. Our glass guys came in today and removed the rear window and seals from the front glass. i have stripped all of the paint of and now applied an epoxy primer. The Primer applied is BASF\'s RM EP569 with the PA897 Hardener. I originally wanted to use a polyuroxy primer instead but realized we were out of the necessary hardener (UA97) so I just went with the straight up epoxy formula. I will try sanding it on wednesday and see how bad it is to sand, if it is too hard I will apply a surface but I think it will be alright. I have a few minor dings to fix here and there but the next few day\'s I will be focusing on the door jambs. Tommorow I will be cleaning up the rockers as they are rusted pretty bad. Here is some pics on the progress, There is a video at the very bottom of me applying the epoxy (you will need to view this from our website to see it for thoughs just reading the email version).

There are 3 coats of epoxy primer as a surfacer for a mil thickness of around 3 mil. Here is the video:
