The last few months our shop has just been exploading with work so we\'ve had very limited time to commit to the old Volvo. We\'ve invested a few hours here and there and we are finally seeing some progress. We got the new windsheild and backglass from Olof @ www.vintageimportparts.com/ and must say he was great to deal with, we will likely be buying more things from him. Speaking of which we did notice a problem with our sandblasting efforts, it seems we didn\'t take good enough precautions to protect the door glass, the sand passed through holes in the body and destroyed the windows.....needless to say we need to buy some new ones.

We\'ve pulled on handle out and soon to remove the other, only seems to take a few minutes. You can see we have all the necessary patches welded in and most of the body filler work is complete. We also had to weld up a few holes once we removed the windsheild and backglass. We used a fiberglass reinforced filler over the welds, then bodyfiller over it.

Tommorow the bodywork should be completed and we will be getting ready for an initial prime. It will be first coated with an epoxy primer and then either feather fill or slicksand....I haven\'t yet decided. It will be block sanded and then primed with either an epoxy or urethane primer, again not really sure what I want to do yet. I will seee how much build it requires after blocking the polyester primer (featherfill/slicksand) and if not much then I\'ll likely go with epoxy.

Saturday is the planned priming day, I\'ll try and catch it on video.
