Day 11
We have found a bit more time to spend on this P1800 so were are back getting things done. Another patch was welded in and another one in progress (headlamp). The trunk,sunroof and hood are hopefully getting the insides painted.


The patches are tacked in place and then welded solid afterwards. We have also discovered some previous lead repairs that are making welding difficult. Here are a few other hinges that I had striped, sand blasted and soaked in POR-15 Metal Ready. They are to be painted with the insides of the hood,trunk,roof.


I filled it up a bit more after the picture to submerge them completely. This will remove any rust still left and leave them with a protective zinc coating. Since I don\'t have a sandblasting booth or box I could only use a spot blaster that limits how much I can remove.

And here is the hood after re-applying the insulation to the underside. I ran out for the trunk so I\'ll have to re-order for next week. I still need to repair a few dings on the outside of these panels.
