Nick, do you have air jets or ceiling fans in the booth? Personally I like the jets. much cheaper than heat.

Funny. It has been a few years ago, but we had a call center tell one of our customers we were not on their list while on the speaker phone. My customer asked them whose list they(meaning the insurance company) were on. He then went on to tell the call center that if they were not on someones list he would have to drop them and go with an insurance company that was on the list. The funny part was, we were on their list, but they had been instructed to divert more work to another shop in our area. This type of steering only reinforces the old fashion need to market your shop and learned to capture and retain customers. This can only be done by constantly communicating and educating any potential customer of their rights as a consumer and your shops ability and potential to handle their needs.

    A Guinness idea! Genius!

So my question is.... if tile can be scrubbed down (muriatic acid and a pressure washer) - why lay tile? smoother surface? what about ground concrete?

The idea of a replaceable surface is nice. Constant control. If youre rolling out dent-fixes you can let 'er go for a year or 2. If you're doing the final touches on a high dollar restoration, get some new paper/carpet down.

    I don't have a booth. What do I know Smiley Signs138

I like the ceramic tile over cement because it is easier to strip and keep clean. It is harder and not as porous as cement.

I would put down ceramic tile. It is fairly cheap, easy to install and you can pressure wash it as needed and once or twice a year we soak it with muratic acid and scrub it with a stiff broom to get rid of any paint overspray. Low maintenance. low cost.
