Yes it should look perfect,can't help you if you have the wrong reducer,if it feels like 220 your pressure is too high,and reducer is to fast.

Who told you that??Some solvent bases have excellent metallic control and a drop coat is not needed,others must be drop coated.Read your TDS.You really aren't using a solvent base coat,you are using a low voc crappy base coat,not even in the same league.

no experience with solvent and I spraying transtar no mix in a light silver. im all based but from the side it's not 100 percent uniform like water. looks like mottle.. completely smooth when I tack though, an uniform from front view... is this normal? also, sanding is the only way to fix dry spray?
