    Good afternoon everyone.

I’m spraying a cheap paint job on a buddy’s beater (work) car and we bought PPG shop-line JB #1 base coat and the lady at the paint store gave us some Montana big sky urethane grade reducer TH0895.

Mixed it 1 : 1 (as directed on the shop line can) it seemed very thin but we tried to spray it anyhow.
Well… run city… it would not cover well and had sags and runs everywhere.

so i tossed that cup out and mixed another with a little bit of shopline JR506 i had left. still 1 : 1 but only had enough to do 1/4 cup. that laid down perfectly with good coverage and no sags.

my question is… does anyone know if this Montanan stuff is compatible with PPG shopline?

My gut feeling is it is garbage / not compatible based on what we saw.

Thank you for your time, any response is greatly appreciated!
    Chris
