Hello everyone! I have been reading the forum for a while and thought I would go ahead and register. I got out of the industry about 30 years ago but still do a little work for myself and other family members from time to time. You know how it goes, you can never really walk away from it.
I have been working on a frame off restoration / V8 conversion of a 1999 Ford Ranger for the past few years. I hope to finish it up during 2015. I painted the front half of the truck with some out dated equipment and made the decision to upgrade before tackling the back half. The recent research on newer paint guns brought me here. I hope to purchase a new compressor and paint gun over the next few months. I look forward to further reading and updating some of my knowledge as well.
I don’t have access to an enclosed work space so 100% of the work has been done outside where the truck sits in these photos. Well to be honest about 99.9%, I did send the bare frame out for media blasting.

Thank you very much. I look forward to reading more about some of the projects going on here and picking up a few new tricks along the way. There are some amazing painters here and the site seems friendly and easy to work around from place to place.October 15, 2014 at 5:47 am #47625
