My jobber tells me that carpet on the booth floor is the newest thing in dirt control.
Sounds nuts be he swears guys love it.
3M has a product but the jobber says any household carpet is good.

Anyone tried it?

My BASF rep told me the exact same thing, guys will take a vacuum to it in the morning. The carpet holds onto dust well apparently. I've never seen it in action but I highly respect this persons opinion, I've considered this for my booth.
Believe none of what you hear, half of what you see..... and then you'll have some idea what's going on

Ryan had carpeting in his booth at the shop he worked at. He's mentioned it numerous times over the years. says it works really well

I've also heard Ryan mention it a few times and it's certainly something I'd try if I got my own place.

I can't remember exactly but I think he used the stuff that's suitable for outdoor use. More durable and washable I'd guess :)

I've had mixed reviews of the 3M dirt trap product. Some say it works really well (on walls) but others have said they've stripped it off real quick as it was causing more problems than it was curing.

from all of my reading, and never using a real booth at my shop, I'd like to try carpet on the floor and just stick to tacky coat on the walls and ceiling. vacuum it often, pressure wash it once in a while.

I plan to put carpet on my booth floor in the near future. Have only heard good things about it.
