Hi,

Painted this about 6 months ago and after 3 this started to apear.

I guess it must be a small pinhole or did I scr... it up? If a pinhole what can I use to seal the tank?

if it's a pinhole you will want to weld it up. any kind of sealing is just a band-aid. but its also possible that gas fumes got under the paint from around the filler hole. however that would usually show damage by the gas cap first. I see a stain where the paint has been removed. can you see any sign of where the tank has been leaking.

The stain is from my mechanic, I can't se any place were it could have gone underneath. I will have the area sandblasted and see if I can fins something.

You got a pinhole in that welded seam most likely.

absolutely, seen it a ton of times and always looks the same. you definately have a pinhole there. no sealer. it needs to be welded then pressure tested.
