Hi guys,

Got a sheet metal guy to help me make some patch panels for the Austin Healey.





I painted this Mazda a few weeks ago.





Now I am busy doing a color change to a light Grey metallic on this Fat Boy.

Yes the metal guy is not to bad, exept he smokes some funny stuff...
when he is done with the Austin I will have him start on the P1800.

Dont worry about the fuuny stuff he smokes , that just gives him more creativity .. Some of the greatest minds of this century smoked funny stuff or took some other type of drug

What kind of products do you use in the Congo... That is cool to see all the way around the world

For the Mazda I used some Chinese SS The Harley I use a Glasurit Etch and then a Sikkens Primer, Autobase plus and Autoclear HS Plus

thats funny!! i dont know exactly where you are but all the islands i have been to the cars are so beat up i didn't even think there was bodyshops. most look like they have been beat to hell for 30 years then when completely trashed the hood gets taken off and used for a roof on a house!! keep up the good work there. looks like so nice metal work. we complain about paint prices here. i bet they are pretty killer where you are.

Hi Jim,

I am living in Kinshasa the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo (former Zaire)
You actually find a lot of SUV here as the roads are so bad but of course there is a lot of wrecks rolling around too.
The Autobase is $65 for a liter and the clear is $50. The main problem is to find material, often they are out of stock and you have to buy some other brand and mix.

i'm not familiar with the pricing on that base and clear but that doesn't seem bad at all. you would figure that being somewhat remote the prices of materials would be crazy. they are crazy here and you can find stuff on every corner.

The owner came and picked up the Hd this afternoon. I'm quite happy with the result and most important the owner was very happy.
