Just wanted to show you guys my new fresh air setup seen in my latest vids. It's a bit of an adjustment but getting easier with each job, the extra hose is a pain.

Looks great jimmo. You lay the clear on there so darn nice, it is amazing and inspiring to see. After each mess up outside in the garage, I come in and rewatch some of your videos and bondos, now I have two more to watch.

looks like the mask can be a pain but also looks like it is easy to get use to after a while. What actually gets changed on the mask so that the lens doesnt get overspray on it. Is it a film you peel off like the nascar windsheild?

Thanks guys, ya Nex it's a peel and stick idea... It's amazing how fast they get covered, really shows how much would have been on your skin or in your eyes. I try and give em a quick wash with glass cleaner.

You like that better than the SATA vision?

Seems like I saw somewhere that SAS has come out with a flip model lately.

I used to use a hobbyair half mask w/hood anytime I sprayed clear,, gone back to a charcoal half mask lately.

I've tried the full mask, painters googles, safety glasses, the hood,,,,

Anything with peel offs are only nice for the first bit you spray with 'em. Between overspray and glare they get a bit aggravating.

yah bin there and back as well put in a full fresh air system 20+ years ago and after a month or so it's never bin used tooo much ****ing around. Charcoal works fine for me ... but then time will tell

ever get bad enough that you peel in between clear coat application?

You guys need to get the setup that hooks into your air.. If you have a charcoal filter inline you will be fine.. I used the 3m papr mask and reworked it to hook into my shop air.. Works great and no extra hose.. Jimmo you will like it when it gets hot out, like having air conditioning. Well worth the money to me.. I peel the film about once a week unless I paint and engine bay or something.. Amazing how much stuff comes back at your face sometimes.

I have mine running off the shop air as well Joe. I am only about 20 to 30 feet of piping away from our refrigerated dryer so the air in my hood stays cool

I ended up going with the Sata Vision hood. I have to change the lens about once a week.

I see what you mean about the extra hose being a pain. Surely there's a way to convert it to a single hose set up? I've used a SATA Vision in the past, and currently have a Wilson (very similar to the Vision, just cheaper), but find even those cumbersome and restrictive with a single hose. I can't see what I'm doing well enough, and feel claustrophobic. I know I shouldn't, but I just stick to a charcoal mask for most of my work and change it regularly.
