dpouncey OFFLINE Catching the Buzz Posts: 10	Ive used a SATA 3000 hvlp 1.3 for 1 year at 6-7 cars a day. Only complaint is mottling on a few silver cars. Trying to eliminate this. Ive tried SATA 3000 RP 1.3 and helped a little but not perfect. Now im trying a TEKNA 7e7 and I am having better results, but not perfect.....

Jayson M OFFLINE Moderator Posts: 1246 Thank you received: 110	X2 I have been very happy with mine for the last 2 years,I use a 1.4 or a 1.5 when it is super hot out.A close second is an nr2000 1.4.For tough silvers I have had good luck with 40-50% reduction right off the bat after ryan suggested it.

ryan999 OFFLINE Moderator Posts: 1177 Thank you received: 64	Start at 40%. On tough colors with mainly DF toner go up to 50% if needed. DF covers very well so it won't hurt coverage. It makes a world of difference. BMW 354 at 50% is a cake walk.

Christ almighty. No wonder I'm struggling!

I know I'm only smart repairing bit I did the full side on a Ford Fiesta today in Moondust silver (mainly DF)

I've not had any formal training on autowave, just my boss showing me once how to use the program to mix paint. He said to just add a splash of reducer. I bet I'm not even using 10%. No wonder there's so much texture in the base!
