I have always had good luck with metallics using my Sharpe Platinum---I fought with a silver in cheap brand of base once but other than that it has always laid metallics out real well--

There was a painter at my shop who loved sagola spray guns--I think they are made in spain; :looked like Sata rip-offs

The only other guns that has had high reviews, aside from Iwata and Sata, are Walcom Geo

I have never used any other gun before, nor have I heard good things about other guns. Maybe a GTI by Devilbiss

I have used a Sagola 4400 Extreme. Very nice gun and definately not a knock off. They are expensive. I have never used one with solvent basecoat but it sprays waterborne effortlessly. For clear the Iwata or Sata performed better for me but all in all a very nice gun.

I use to use Walcom Geo FX97's years ago. Nice guns but parts were hard to find.
