  • lild : Now if u want some fun, try a buick suv, fixed the rear cover, top is shiney, lower is flat, & u have to blend the matt finish,& make the blend flawless
  • jeremyb : I might just reshoot it and clear the quarter piece. the difference will be less noticeable where it rolls down to the rocker and door
  • Jayson M : having said that you will do 10 this week
  • lild : I honestly have to say we hadn't had to do a matt finish cladding in a while
  • Jayson M : you have the swimming pool effect,that sucks
  • Jayson M : half the time there isn't enough paint on them from the factory for coverage,hard to match
  • jeremyb : color looks good. where it butts to the quarter is clear only and is miles off now
  • lild : Make em shinney, & buff the other side, that'll take care of it
  • Jayson M : same here,those colors match awesome in water
  • lild : I've always ended up blending those claddings that butt up to each other
  • jeremyb : shoulda just touched up the fucker and been done...had to paint the silver part too
  • lild : I hate them damn hyundia, plastic colors don't match, paint on the damn car don't match
  • jeremyb : GF i think it is

How to blend a three stage paint

 

This is more of a candy paint then an actual pearl tricoat, same process.

    I have been referencing your video "How to Polish a Black Car", purchased all refinishing materials, and am ready to go. In doing the first step (2000 grit wet sanding), with minimal pressure on small scratches, I am down to the primer paint level very quickly!
