Sealer - EP569 epoxy with the RM polyuroxy additive. A very high quality sealer, sort of in between an epoxy & urethane.
To get this piece of fiberglass to this stage their was considerable prep work required. Many pinholes, nicks and one part even cracked from the minor sanding pressure. It had a coat of evercoat slicksand that was almost sanded completely off by the time it was filled and leveled. After that their was an application of glasurit 285-10/20 primer.
Plastic Adhesion Promoter (RM 864)
After a good cleaning and a few minor scratch repairs the raw plastic is coated with it.
Basecoat (RM Diamont - activated)
This picture is after the second coat, as you can see basf paint covers very well. Only three coats is required.
Clearcoat - (Glasurit 923-109 Preflexed)
This is the final result after 2 coats of clear, activated with the normal hardener (929-93). It layed down very well. With all the turns and groves it can be quite difficult to spray and easy to end up with a sag or two. Luckily that wasn\'t a problem, it turned out very nice.
Here are a few other parts that were requested to be painted, pretty well all the same products as above, however they were painted at a seperate time. On a few parts I needed to wetsand and reclear them because the plastic had a minor texture that took away from the finish, after that they all looked great.
**** Update****
This is a picture the owner (Brad) dropped off displaying the shows he has won this year. Looks like he\'s off to a good first year. As more parts require painting this article will be updated.

HELLO, I was wondering if you can shed some light on my problem. I'm having some trouble spraying silver. I am use DuPont solvent base. Some time it sprays out and looks like chrome and some time it comes out coarse looking. What I'm I doing wrong?I know pressure has a lot to do with it, but I'm at a lost? Any help would be great
