Block Sanding Primer

{youtube}YQK5nSZrUEo{/youtube}

Guide Coats:
Guide coats are simply any coating applied to your primer that has a color contrasting to that of your primer. It\'s role is to serve as a visual aid as you sand your primer. As you block sand the high spots are removed first, the guide coat that remains indicates that the area is lower then the surrounding area and that further block sanding is required.
Blocking:
Use the same methods as before, just this time with finer paper. You will want to start off with a 320 and maybe even switch to a 400 by the end of your sanding. You should only need to block sand until your guide coat has disappeared.
